International, 14.2.2011: Hall 3.1 / Stand B 51 ISH 2011: preview on novelties and innovations of Laufen

From 15 to 19 March 2011 Laufen showcases itself with a number of innovative new products on the ISH in Frankfurt am Main (Hall 3.1/Stand B 51). Visitors will see an evolution of Laufen’s strongest products, besides ILBAGNOALESSI One, for example the Palomba Collection, Lb3 or Laufen pro, among others.”The ISH is the ideal arena to launch our new products“, says Alberto Magrans, Senior Managing Director of Laufen, ”as it attracts professionals from all over the world, who will appreciate design, quality and service of Laufen.“

One of the new products is an impressive, 1600 mm wide, double washbasin countertop of the Palomba Collection with two asymmetric basins and optional towel rail. This fine piece of ceramic proves once again the great expertise of Laufen in producing perfectly flat and smooth ceramics even in very large dimensions. Also the Palomba Collection’s furniture range has been given a facelift: high-quality vanity units and a new, white colour give bathroom designers carte blanche to create exciting scenarios. Thanks to a newly developed siphon, the drawers on the new vanity units require no disruptive siphon cut-outs – which is a true innovation.

Furthermore the Swiss bathroom specialist is extending the Lb3 collection by a comfortable wall-hung WC: raised by six centimetres, the Lb3 comfort toilets feature much improved seating comfort in comparison to conventional WCs. It can be installed without altering existing wall connections or standard flush-mounted cisterns. Laufen mastered the underpinning technological process with consummate skill: the WC height gain is owed to the ceramic element as the water inside must be channelled upwards without compromising flushing efficiency. What is more, Laufen has also developed new vanity units, which match Lb3’s “classic” and “modern” versions and will also be without disruptive siphon cut-outs in the drawers. New, perfectly matching mirrors are also available.

Last but not least Laufen extends the very successful Laufen pro series by a number of products, some as compact solutions, and a furniture range. The furniture is equipped with the innovative new siphon and doesn’t require siphon cut-outs. In terms of quality, design and price the products perfectly suite to the collection. In addition, Laufen adds several products with enhanced comfort to Laufen pro liberty: three WCs with raised seat, one of them also with extended projection, complete a barrier-free washbasin. The wheelchair-compatible washbasin with its timeless minimalist lines offers disabled access according to DIN standard 18040 and is fitted with standard 280 mm connections for easy installation. Furthermore it has ergonomically styled recessed handles concealed under the lower edges of the washbasin, which ensure that users can easily pull themselves towards the basin or hold on for safety.

”These are just a few of the novelties, Laufen prepared for the upcoming ISH“, reveals Alberto Magrans, ”our customers and visitors can look forward to a fireworks display of novelties and innovations, that we will ignite at the show.” He adds: “There will be, for example, an elaborate solution for hotels and the rebirth of a genuine classic, please wait and see.”
